Dr. Mika Risku
Dr. Risku from Finland is an expert in educational leadership and policy at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. His deep understanding of decentralized school governance, teacher autonomy, and equitable learning systems can help Almaty-Finn School to adapt Finland’s best practices to local Kazakh contexts. Dr. Risku will help bridge Finnish expertise with Kazakhstan’s education goals, fostering innovation and long-term improvements in teaching quality and student outcomes.
We believe that every child should have the confidence to know who they are and what inspires them. Every student is treated as an individual.

Resilience
We know that beyond the lessons that we teach, our students are children who are discovering the world. To us, sensitivity is a representation of strength.
We allow our students to find lessons in failure, to try things that make them work a little bit harder, and to appreciate that it's possible to bounce back.
Respect
Creativity
We pride ourselves on having an incredibly creative set of young learners, and we give every child the space to realize where they might be headed.
We encourage our students and educators to show a mutual respect to one another within the school. Everyone should be afforded manners and kindness.

We are proud to share that our school's International Advisory Board is composed of esteemed members from around the world, including Finland, Kazakhstan, Spain, and Norway. Their diverse global perspectives and expertise play a vital role in guiding our institution toward excellence in international education.
