The applicant must be:

• Currently in or have completed Grade 6-10 (for Grade 7-11 admission, respectively).

• Demonstrate readiness to follow an international curriculum with Kazakh, English and Russian languages as the primary languages of instruction.

• Attend an admissions interview and/or assessment session.

English Language Proficiency

• Minimum required level: Pre-Intermediate (A2) for Grades 7-8 applicants.

• For Grades 9–11, Intermediate (B1) or above is preferred.

• Students with lower proficiency may be considered with a conditional acceptance, provided they agree to enrol in supplementary English Language Support (ELS) programs offered by Almaty-Finn.

Admissions Criteria for Grades 7-11

English placement test

All applicants must take an English placement test, which assesses:

• Reading comprehension

• Writing (short essay)

• Listening and speaking (conducted during the admission interview)

Applicants must demonstrate a good foundational knowledge of mathematics. A math assessment test will cover:

• Arithmetic and number operations

• Algebraic expressions and equations

• Geometry and spatial reasoning

• Problem-solving and logical reasoning
